Transak, a provider of Web3 payments infrastructure, has formed a partnership with Soneium, an Ethereum Layer 2 solution developed by Sony Block Solutions Labs, to deliver onboarding solutions aimed at mainstream users for the new blockchain initiative.

Sota Watanabe, the Director of Sony Block Solutions Labs, expressed that Transak’s specialized solutions across various sectors will enable developers to create innovative applications, and the organization is eager to assist in the advancement of pioneering projects on the Soneium platform.
Transak serves as a web3 payments infrastructure provider, operating in 160 nations, supporting over 350 applications, and catering to more than 5.7 million users. In July, the company revealed a collaboration with Uniswap to enhance fiat on-ramp services for the Uniswap wallet.
The Soneium blockchain, built on the Ethereum Layer 2 utilizing the Op Stack, is designed for the development of consumer-grade applications. This initiative is a collaborative effort between Sony Group Corporation and Startale Labs, with early adopters of the network including Circle, Optimism, Alchemy, The Graph, Chainlink, and the Astar Network.
