A fundamental feature of Bitcoin’s nature that Satoshi identified exactly 14 years ago has subsequently grown to be essential to both its identification and operation. Renowned Bitcoin historian @Pete_rizzo on X emphasized Satoshi’s landmark admission about Bitcoin in a tweet.

CryptoCaster Quick Check:

The future of digital money was shaped by a statement made by Satoshi Nakamoto on June 17, 2010, which read, “The nature of Bitcoin is such that once version 0.1 was released, the core design was set in stone for the rest of its lifetime.”

This declaration emphasized the unchangeability that would characterize Bitcoin and distinguish it from other virtual and conventional currencies.

In January 2009, Bitcoin, the first decentralized cryptocurrency, was launched with version 0.1. The foundation for the peer-to-peer electronic cash system that will transform technology and banking was established by this early iteration.

Bitcoin would stick to its original vision since Satoshi said that the core design would never change. Satoshi Nakamoto hardcoded a limit of 21 million coins into the Bitcoin protocol at the time of its invention.

The initial client that Satoshi worked on is still being maintained and developed by a global community of volunteers, and it is known as Bitcoin Core today.

Following the v27.0 major release, a new release candidate of Bitcoin Core, v27.1rc1, was made available for testing at the end of May.

With a market capitalization of $1.28 trillion, Bitcoin is now the largest and most valuable cryptocurrency, making up over half of the $2.4 trillion worldwide market cap. Approximately 19.71 million Bitcoins, or 94% of the total quantity of 21 million, are now in use. CRYPTOCASTER® - DECENTRALIZED FREEDOM!
