Constellation Network recently unveiled its Hypergraph blockchain during a global hackathon event, where application developers were given the opportunity to explore its capabilities. This blockchain was developed in collaboration with the United States military and is now open for developers to create innovative Web3 applications and potentially even new layer 1 blockchains using Constellation’s unique “meta graph” application layer.

CryptoCaster Quick Check:

The introduction of the “meta graph” application layer by Constellation signifies a significant milestone in the blockchain space. This layer allows third-party developers to leverage Hypergraph’s infrastructure to build applications that are interoperable and can store various types of data. With the ability to interface with external data sources and support mainstream programming languages like Java, Constellation’s Hypergraph aims to provide a versatile platform for developers to create cutting-edge solutions.

Hypergraph, referred to as a “Layer 0” protocol, serves as a foundational layer for validating and storing data from different applications and networks, known as “meta graphs.” This protocol is designed to support a wide range of data types and offers flexibility for developers to work with external data sources seamlessly. By enabling developers to build on top of Hypergraph’s network, Constellation Network is fostering innovation and collaboration within the blockchain community.

“Constellation’s Hypergraph is the blockchain of blockchains,” Ben Jorgensen, CEO of Constellation Network, said in a statement. “The best way forward with Web3 and blockchain technology for all of us is interoperability and collaboration across chains and communities.”

In 2019, Constellation made history by being one of the pioneering Web3 developers to secure a deal with the US Department of Defense (DoD) to investigate the potential uses of blockchain technology in the realm of national security. Additionally, Constellation has established partnerships with the U.S. Space Force and Treasury Department, as per the official announcement.

Constellation, under its DoD contract, is currently exploring various use cases including enhancing secure encrypted communications and consolidating data from different legacy systems. Additionally, the company is collaborating with the US Air Force to develop and test technology aimed at safeguarding military data streams against cyberattacks.

As per information from an Air Force memorandum referenced on Constellation’s website, the blockchain technology employed by Constellation has the capability to prevent spoofing attacks by preventing the interception and substitution of data streams by malicious entities. This technology is crucial in ensuring the integrity and security of sensitive military information.

In 2018, Constellation introduced its native token, DAG, which plays a key role in securing the Hypergraph network through a staking mechanism. The DAG token is specifically designed to support the growth of new metagraph applications, as outlined on the company’s website. This strategic approach highlights Constellation’s commitment to advancing secure and efficient data management solutions.CRYPTOCASTER® - DECENTRALIZED FREEDOM!
